Poem of The Day

‘Out, Out—’
BY ROBERT FROST
The buzz saw snarled and rattled in the yard
And made dust and dropped stove-length sticks of wood,
Sweet-scented stuff when the breeze drew across it.
And from there those that lifted eyes could count
Five mountain ranges one behind the other
Under the sunset far into Vermont.
And the saw snarled and rattled, snarled and rattled,
As it ran light, or had to bear a load.
And nothing happened: day was all but done.
Call it a day, I wish they might have said
To please the boy by giving him the half hour
That a boy counts so much when saved from work.
His sister stood beside him in her apron
To tell them ‘Supper.’ At the word, the saw,
As if to prove saws know what supper meant,
Leaped out at the boy’s hand, or seemed to leap—
He must have given the hand. However it was,
Neither refused the meeting. But the hand!
The boy’s first outcry was a rueful laugh,
As he swung toward them holding up the hand
Half in appeal, but half as if to keep
The life from spilling. Then the boy saw all—
Since he was old enough to know, big boy
Doing a man’s work, though a child at heart—
He saw all was spoiled. ‘Don’t let him cut my hand off—
The doctor, when he comes. Don’t let him, sister!’
So. But the hand was gone already.
The doctor put him in the dark of ether.
He lay and puffed his lips out with his breath.
And then—the watcher at his pulse took fright.
No one believed. They listened to his heart.
Little—less—nothing!—and that ended it.
No more to build on there. And they, since they
Were not the one dead, turned to their affairs.

I think the theme of this poem is telling us to stay focused on the important thing because one mistake can be the worst mistake of your life. If you mess up the consequences might be horrific.

My Eye Sight

My sense of sight makes my life a whole lot easier. I get to see many nice things. I get to go ride dirt bikes and many other cool things all because of my eye sight.

If this sense was taken away from me I would probably be dead of falling out of my dads deer stand, fall of a bridge,or many other tragic things. I would most likely use a cane though.

Valintines

Roses are red violets but you smelt like a I remember
being close to you

We would snuggle under a
sheet but man do I really miss your
stinky,stinky,feet

It was really horrible but you were adorable
you would always eat at Moe’s but you smelt like a rose

Christmas Moment

I remember waking up and l really wanted a bike,as I stand by the heater suddenly I look up and there it was, a mongoose bike it was the only thing I got at my dads house. It wasn’t much but it was all I wanted from my dad I think, my mom and my dad are single so I think there has got to be more at my moms house.I call her and tell her to come pick me up from my dads she said I would really like my presents and as she pulls up in our drive-way she honks from the car.I spring out of the front door hugging my dad and saying thank you for the bike.As I get out of the chilly weather I put on the heated air and I ask her to give me a hint on my presents, she told my to find out for my self when we get home.I go in side and start ripping the paper of them she said to be easy with it because it was fragile that really pushed me to the limit I look at it and look at my mom and look at it once again There it is a mac book laptop.I did not no what to say,I froze in excitement.I walk halfway down the hall and hear my mom yell there is more. I ended up with a bike mac book, boots for hunting, 30 dollars, and a telescope.I soon realized that I had some good parents.

Bumped Into A Snake

It was very early in the morning.Me and my dad were very tired. We got up for hiking at 6am.We were on our way there. The ride was 30 minutes.I just knew there was some thing wrong. When we got there my feeling started paying off,WE FORGOT WATER.I told my dad and he said we were at least gonna be there for 4 hours. But that was fine with me because I drank a lot of soda back at home.We saw a lot of critters along the way.We saw a beaver, raccoon and a snake. The snake was the wildest thing because it was chasing us.Luckily my dad had his hand gun with him so he shot it.So it was time to head back home.

Very first day of school

So there I was walking in school nervous and shy noticing there was a tear In my eye.So I sit in my chair my awesome teacher was Ms.Clair she was cleaver and nice some people thought she was cold as ice.So we sat on the rouge and read and it was cozy like my bed 5 minutes later we went out side and I played  on a awesome slide.
